Eastern New Energy @ GreenDirections
The goal of the Eastern New Energy (ENE) project is to accelerate the transition to a low carbon economy in the East of England’s LEP areas;
- Greater Cambridge and Greater Peterborough
- Hertfordshire
- New Anglia
The project will do this by developing the local energy economy across the East of England. ENE will work with over 400 organisations in the region to build a stronger local energy economy.Taken together, these activities will help to build a stronger local energy economy – one where, increasingly regional SME's grow and become more competitive.
Green Directions Programme 1
Executing a high level review of heating/cooling network opportunities, identifying priorities and concrete actions to speed up network construction.
Green Directions offers the following service
- Review of potential sources of heating and cooling to supply networks
- Review of heating and cooling loads suitable for network connection
- Evaluation of heating/cooling network route options
- Review of opportunities for integrating heating/cooling networks with renewable power generation
- Commercial evaluation of heating/cooling network options – potential revenues
- Highlight potential opportunities for reducing risks and speeding up the implementation of the programme
- Provide a summary report with conclusions and recommendations
Green Directions Programme 2
Identifying funding opportunities for innovation and R&D, suitable for SMEs, undertaking initial review and supporting the application process
Green Directions offers the following service;
- Review of business and innovation activities and liaising with key stakeholders
- Evaluation and screening of suitable funding opportunities
- Identifying opportunities and assessment of the application process
- Developing the application approach and advising on the process
- Supporting and reviewing the application prior to submission
