Townfield Head farm is surrounded by beautiful countryside which is full of fascinating wildlife. Children/Students can explore the farm and see birds and animals that are not common in the city.

Swallows are some of our most travelled visitors. They arrive from Africa in April, produce two (or sometimes three) broods of chicks before leaving again in September.

Wild areas in the fields attract many species such as hares, rabbits, curlews, insects and bees. While the water troughs are home to frogs, toads and water based insects.
